This is a nicely made and really useful bit of kit.
It works as both a battery charger and emergency recharger for many portable devices. The main body holds 4 x AAA batteries (supplied!) and it can be charged from either a computer USB socket or 12v car cigar. A green LED starts flashing to let you know when charging is in progress, changing to a steady light when charging is complete. At this point you’ve now got 4 fully charged AAA’s ready for use in whatever you like. You can also leave them in place, connect the DC output from the pack and then use it to recharge any other compatible devices eg Mobile phones, Games Consoles, MP3 players, Sat Nav systems, PSP’s etc. It comes supplied with a range of output plug options to cater for most devices (including the small pin Nokia DC plug).
To recharge the supplied AAA (1000mAh) takes approx 4hrs. In a dire emergency you can of course remove the rechargeables and put in disposable AAA’s as another way of getting a charge into your phone.
Not only that, there’s a single ultra bright LED on the pack so you can even use it as a torch!
