Keene replied: Yes it will work.
What you are referring to is known as HDCP. The unit is HDCP compliant so there is no need to worry.

Keene replied: Yes there are.
It should be fine with PS3.

Keene replied: this unit extends whatever HDMI signal your putting into it.

Keene replied:
Provided the DVI source is DVI-D and HDCP compatible then it would work.
With regard to the CAt5 cable as long as it is to either the CAT5E standard or CAT6 it will be fine.
