X10 LAMP MODULE WITH EXTENDED CODE SUPPORT

This is an enhanced version of the standard LM12U, providing a "soft" on and off and support for extended X10 codes.
Simply set the dials to the desired X10 address, plug the module into a 13 amp socket and plug your lamp in. You can ow use X10 commands to switch the lamp on and off and dim or brighten as desired. This module provides “soft” on and off – that is to say it won't suddenly go from off to full brightness like the original LM12U, instead it gradually increases until full brightness is reached. Similarly, it responds to an “off” command by gradually dimming until the light is fully off.
These modules will also support extended X10 commands. For example, with the right controller, a command can be sent to switch the lamp on at a preset dim level, whereas with the original LM12U two commands would have to be sent, one to switch the lamp on and then another to dim to the required level. Extended codes can be stored in the Keene IRCM or KIRARS232* and lamps then controlled via their built in web pages or iPhone app.
More than one lamp may be connected to a lamp module but can not be controlled independently. If a lamp connected to the module is desired to be manually rather than X10 controlled, the lamp module will switch to the 'on' position by a simple turning 'off' and 'on' of the lamp switch. The module itself will only turn off if a signal is sent to it.
Load 40W (minimum) 300W (max) incandescent lamps only.
*The KIRARS232 and IRCM need to be used in conjunction with a CTX35 RS232 to powerline bridge – see product pages for more details)
