Cat5Blaster Video Distribution System

Send Component video, plus digital audio, and have IR feedback, all over 1 single run of CAT5 cable!

The Cat5Blaster is a modular system that enables high quality video and audio to be distributed over long distances using inexpensive network cable (CAT5 unshielded twisted pair). It has three independent video channels and so may be configured for component video, s-video plus composite video, 3 X composite video or RGsB*. It can also be configured for analogue stereo or digital audio as required and there is provision for IR feedback from each receiver to enable control of the source equipment near the transmitter. The Cat5Blaster consists of a Transmitter and Master Receiver (for 1:1 distribution). Additional Slave receivers may be added as required for multi-room distribution.
(*A SyncBlaster Black Box SBBOX may be required to convert digi-box type RGB to RGsB).

The Master receiver does not need a power supply if the cable run is less than 100m and so is not supplied as standard, but if you do require one (or as a spare for the transmitter) the order code is KT6

"I just have a general question. I have just installed a BT Vision box at home and I would like to distribute the signal to 2 other rooms. I would also like to be able to remotely control the source and I would like to do it all over either a homeplug or Cat5 network. Can I use your products to achieve this? Cheers Manny"
