The Keene C5KDA is a great problem solver. It takes s-video (or composite) and audio and electronically splits the signal into four identical outputs. There is no signal loss so each output is as good as the input. It then converts each output signal such that it can be sent via CAT5 cable to the receiver, where it is converted back into video and audio. CAT5 cable is cheap, thin and flexible and can be used to send the signal over 100m without problems.

The C5KDA provides Infra Red feedback from each remote receiver so you can still control the source equipment connected to the C5KDA input from the remote location.

The C5KDA has a switchable line drive feature that can be used to preserve signal quality on even longer cable runs (in excess of 50m). It works by applying a signal boost with emphasis on higher frequencies. The system uses wideband ICs with very low output impedance.

This product is ideal for:
Sending a an AV signal to multiple displays
Sending an AV signal down a long cable run (in excess of 100m)

You can buy the C5KDA only (although, frankly, it won’t be very exciting without at least one receiver), or as a kit complete with two or four receivers:

C5KDA2 (distribution amp with two receivers)
C5KDA4 (distribution amp with four receivers)
C5KDAR (receiver only)



All you need is to add CAT5 cable at your chosen length (Use standard Cat5 cabling practice EIA 568B) and your Av input/output cables.

Keene replied: 1/ Analogue audio 2/ No composite or S-VHS only. Our C5B system will do component.
