Search notes

The area classification (if any) you choose will be compared for matches in each of the directory entries. Each entry containing a match will be put on screen for you. The match can be with either a whole word or part of a word; this means that if you choose, for example, 'York' as the area to search for, then not only will all the records containing the word York be displayed, so will those containing the word Yorkshire etc.

You may want to define your search more closely by entering a keyword. If you have selected an area (ie any but 'None') and used a keyword, then only the records containing a match for both area and keyword will be displayed.
If you leave the area at 'None', then all directory entries containing a match for your keyword will be displayed. The search is not case sensitive, so the keyword film will also find Film, FILM etc (as well as films, clingfilm etc as explained earlier)

If you're looking for something local to you, don't just search for your immediate area, but other nearby areas as well. That club could be just down the road, but in another county. Also try searching using your local telephone area dialling code as a keyword.
