Been looking a.... Review by Martin D
Been looking for a product like this for ages (at a sensible price). Does what is says on the tin and looks like it is built to last. Very helpful pre and after sales service. If higher than 5A required just add a relay or contactor. Martin (Posted on 21/10/2014)

Frequently Asked Questions and Answers (5)

Q: Browser Based - is that native browser based, or do I have to load special api's or java or something in order to make it work. Does it work with chrome. The reason I ask is that I purchased a similar product (different brand) which I had to return because it only worked with Microsoft Edge Browser and I had to install all these other applets / programs first which made the solution not workable. Also - is there any direct command line access to it (via Linux shell) etc Thank you.

A: The web page is hosted by the IP mains switch and can be viewed on any browser. There is a small java script file which works with the web page to enable the buttons etc. But it is just standard stuff. Not aware of issues with any browser.
Q: Is there any issue in using more than one switch on a network.

Posted On: 19/09/2016 By: Luke de Caux

A: No as long as the switches are addressed using the IP address. If you use the hostname to address you must make them unique.
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, If I have a control4 processor and want to cycle the main processor with the keene ip switch would it work? How does the cycle command work? Sorted within the IP switch or C4 would send the Off and several seconds later the ON command? If the main pwocessor switched off by the keene then it cannot send yhe ON afterwards... Please advise. Kind regards, Csaba

A: The IPSwitch has timers so you could set-up one of the timers to open the processor output then after 1 minute close it again. Alternatively contact us for a version of the firmware that will allow http based reboot, and set the processor output to have a delay before powering up
Q: Is there an APP to control it from an iPod touch?

Posted On: 02/02/2012 By: colin payne

A: There isn't an app(at time of question) but you can control via the web-page using your browser on the iPod.
Q: I note this will only handle 5A per outlet. I need a unit to switch the immersion heater....13A. Are you aware of anything, is there an uprated version of this?

Posted On: 18/01/2012 By: Mike Gibson

A: Sadly we are not aware of anything that can do this.
