Frequently Asked Questions and Answers (4)

Q: Hi, Can this be used to send/receive HD from a Sky Q box. Thanks.

Posted On: 23/09/2017 By: Sak

A: Yes it would work, but would only display in 1080p max and not 4K @60hz. To display in 4K @60hz you would need a device that was HDCP2.2 @60hz compatible. Currently there doesn't appear to be anything available on the market yet for sending this wireless.
Q: Is there a possibility of getting an extra receiver to work the Gigaview or is it made to work with one receiver only?

Posted On: 13/09/2014 By: Drskano

A: Afraid not you can only use one receiver due to HDCP protocols.
Q: Will this device interfere with WiFi / reduce the performance of my wifi devices? (I have both G and N devices in my house). thanks

Posted On: 26/04/2013 By: Paul Morgan

A: It's Operating frequency 5.1 ~ 5.6 GHz so as long as your devices are not using this range there should be no issues
Q: Can my sky hd+ remote be used to control the sky hd box from another room via the infra red on the Gigaview

Posted On: 08/10/2012 By: Drskano

A: Yes you can do this.
